Registering your domain name is an important step, but there are still more. You still need a host. Where you registered your domain name isn't important. Your domain name can be registered anywhere. Yes. You have to have a host. It is not optional. Check here for the wiki version of the answer or read on for the nutshell version! Your hosts are the ones that store all your "stuff" like graphics and pages, make all your programs that run your site function and connect your "stuff" to the internet. They may seem kind of a like a middleman but your host is an invaluable part of your website. Your host will connect your domain name to your "stuff"! Ecommerce hosts such as MerchantMoms.Com play an integral part in business because of the support they provide for your shopping cart software which is beyond the scope of normal hosts. They not only store your "stuff" but they have tons of documentation online to help you specifically run an online shop. What do I need to use one of your templates? TOP
Since the pre-fab templates are a html page and the coordinating graphics and not a catalog and shopping cart system, you need to have a domain name and either our supported e-commerce hosting or be running the Option Cart catalog system. The template are made specially for Option Cart (the e-commerce system used by our supported/recommended hosts). Are your templates compatible with Yahoo hosting? TOP
Sorry, the pre made (pre-fab) templates are not compatible with the Yahoo storebuilder. They are built specifically for the catalog system used by my compatible host. This doesn't mean that they can't be used on your Yahoo hosted shop, it just means that free installation and template support are not included. If you know how or know someone who can transform it work with your Yahoo store, you may purchase it and you will receive an html page and coordinated graphics in a zip file. But please note, there are absolutely no refunds on templates so unless you are confident that you are able to transform an html template for use on your Yahoo shop (or any other non-compatible site/catalog system), this is not a recommended option. Can I use the logo from my template on my blog? TOP
Using graphics from any of the pre-fab templates on any site outside of your domain (i.e. a third party blog site, top list site, etsy, ebay) is against the terms of service. So, sorry, no.
But, a suitable graphic can be made for you at the usually reasonable rates! Besides, having a custom graphic made for your particular off-site will also look much better than you trying to squeeze/stretch the template header graphic to the dimensions of the third-party site. Where did you get your template and is it for sale? TOP
Well, being a web designer, it would be silly to have a web template and graphics created by anyone else but yours truly! It was made in house and unfortunately is not for sale. But there is good news... if the website is ever redesigned (which happens every year or so) the previous store front/template will then be available for sale! But I really like your specific template. Can you make one like it? TOP
While there is nothing better than a fresh and original template, if you are dieing to have a template exactly like the one you see in front of you, head on over the the prefabs and you may see something that you love just as much. Here is a hint.. it is very special! Also, you can now purchase our previous design template used before the most recent makeover! It is sytle 11. I already have a logo. Fabulous! Yes! If you already have a logo we can incorporate it, in place of the standard logo, at no extra charge. You may want to send your logo in before hand for a free proof (to make sure your logo & the pre-fab templates are compatible) as revisions are not included in the base template price. |
